Customer Service Appreciation Week

The Destination Services teams in Detroit and Cleveland participated in Customer Service Week 2015 with a brave new twist! The theme this year was “Everyday Heroes” and the offices took part in several fun and informative activities intended to recognize and thank teammates and DSCs for their great customer service.

Over Friday morning breakfast, managers participated in an E-Logic training course on customer service. The course was designed to emphasize the importance of customer service in our industry, and reinforced that the basics of customer service are important to our business.

As part of the theme, there was a superhero photo shoot complete with costumes! Everyone was also encouraged to vote in a contest to name our own customer service superheroes in the two offices. The winners are:

  • The Flash – Marie McConnell & Christina Korsvik: This person is a go-getter. He/she approaches issues with a sense of urgency, produces high-level, high-quality results, is persistent, and stays on top of things
  • Spiderman – Nick Kochendoerfer & Jaimie Frate: This person brings humor to work. He/she enjoys coming to work and creates a fun, positive work experience while never losing sight of getting the job done
  • Wonder Woman – Olga Valtierra & Katie Ballenger: This person is all about integrity – the right thing to do always prevails. As the voice of justice, she makes sure that every customer’s voice is heard
  • Storm – Lori Swarthout & Ron-Michelle Kaluznik: This person looks out for the newer members of the team. A natural leader, she enjoys teaching others and takes time to make sure everyone on the team gets help
  • Professor X – Dolly Van Fossan & William Cope-Domingo: This person is always willing to give advice, assistance, and is not afraid to offer his/her opinion. He/she will go out on a limb to provide world-class customer service
  • Mr./Ms. Fantastic – Ashley Freese & Lauren Gabel: This person represents flexibility. He/she is always willing to stop and help a coworker, has excellent multi-tasking skills, and will assist in any area where there is a need
  • The Green Lantern – Cat Carter & Julie Konopka: This person represents “bright ideas” and is always thinking outside of the box. He/she is always looking for a way to improve processes and is the person that will come to your rescue
  • Captain America – Joe Marton & Elliot Schermerhorn: This person is a team player and is always willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done right. He/she offers support and encouragement to the team.
