In accordance with National Day and Golden Week in China, the Dwellworks China offices in Shanghai and Beijing will be closed October 1 – 7. The Hong Kong office will be closed on October 1 and October 7.
National Day is traditionally celebrated during the first week of October in China, Hong Kong, and Macau. This year’s celebration is especially significant because it marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.
The National Day celebrations are traditionally held on the first day of October. Throughout the day there will be live music, dancing, and other activities in Beijing and in cities throughout the country. To mark such a monumental anniversary year, this year Beijing is also hosting the largest military parade since 2015, and in the evening, there will be a grand fireworks show.
The Golden Week celebrations will continue through October 7th. During this time, most businesses across the country are closed, and it’s typically a time for travel, shopping, and visiting with family.
