Our global team brings excellence to our day to day work. On this week's Meet our Global Team blog, we interviewed the talented Jerome Burns, Director of Corporate Housing in the US to share his Dwellworks journey with us.

Tell us about your role with Dwellworks?

I support the fulfillment of corporate housing requests in the Americas and EMEA regions. Our team of Corporate Housing Managers work with the client to find furnished apartment options, book those reservations, and support the guest while in-house.

What’s an interesting fact about you that people might not know?

I’m pretty big into gaming. I like video games and card games, but my real interest lies in board games. While I would have to say that my favorite classic game is Risk, there has been a resurgence in the game design world in the last few years and my game collection has grown considerably. Recent favorites include Tsuro, Betrayal at House on the Hill, and Camel Up.

Why Dwellworks?

While I might be pretty new to Dwellworks, I’ve had the pleasure of working with the Dwellworks team (mostly from Latin America) for several years. I have to say that everyone I have ever worked with from Dwellworks has been passionate, kind, and reliable.  Those are the kind of people I like to be around, so when the opportunity arose to join the team I took advantage of it.

Can you share a little story that reflects on DW values while interacting with clients/suppliers/team members ?

Fun! With the US team all working remotely, and not being able to see the team in person for the holidays, I was missing some of the seasonal office activities and treats we normally get into. We had discussed a few activities, but being remote I had thought that our options were limited. Fortunately, the team came together with a fun idea and found a Secret Santa website that allowed us to ship surprise gifts to one another. We even got to open some of the gifts while in our daily huddle leading up to the holiday. All in all, a relatively small effort- but it’s the little, fun gestures like these that keep the feeling of togetherness going even though we’re working apart.
