Dwellworks Corporate Housing is incredibly proud of our team of Local Leaders. Everything we do is possible because of their amazing talent. Their dedication has helped us book over 400,000 nights and counting around the globe, and they consistently deliver the best service to our partners and clients.

For our fourth installment, we’ve invited the wonderful Patricia Gamboa, Supply Chain Corporate Housing Coordinator in Costa Rica, to tell us about her inspirational story at Dwellworks.

How long have you been working with Dwellworks?

My journey with Dwellworks began 1 year and 4 months ago. Since day one, the learning has been continuous. As you can see with my teammates Galdina, Meghan and Shirley, at Dwellworks there is a lot of room for personal and professional growth. I am very grateful for the support I have received from my colleagues throughout my experience here in Costa Rica.

What do you love the most about your job?

I have always had an impulse to help people and Corporate Housing has been the perfect opportunity for me to do what I enjoy the most. Moving to a new country can be stressful, especially when you do not know anything about the place or the culture. It has been rewarding to be able to make that transition easier for our guests. For me, it is very important that our guests feel accompanied through the whole process.

Do you have any recent projects that make you proud?

Yes. For a lot of us, this pandemic was the first time facing a global scale crisis. We had to adapt quickly to the circumstances and come up with alternatives to continue to deliver great quality service to our dear guests. I’m extremely proud of the work our Costa Rica team and teams around the globe have done to improve our guests' experience during these difficult times.

What do you think guests are the most surprised about Costa Rica?

I would say our tropical weather and biodiversity. Most days here are warm and sunny and if you ever feel like you need a break from city life, there are really cool places to enjoy nature, just within minutes from the city.

For a lot of people, when they hear “Costa Rica,” they immediately imagine themselves working near beautiful beaches, but the truth is, beaches are not very close to the metro area where most of the international business industry is located.

We know that in your job you have the ability to see our inventory around the globe. Do you have a favorite property?

They are all wonderful, but I have to admit that my favorite Dwellworks unit is Villa Soprano in Luxembourg! The aesthetic is relatively simple, yet it has some luxurious touches that make you want to stay there forever. Also, it has a beautiful terrace where I can for sure see myself enjoying my morning coffee!
