Maintaining Compliance and Good Governance
In 2018, we successfully completed our GDPR TrustArc readiness plan by the May 25 go-live date. And in January 2019, we completed a readiness assessment with our third-party Data Protection Officer (DPO), the DPO centre in the United Kingdom.
We maintain reinforced network compliance through criminal background checks, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) screenings, driver’s license and auto insurance verifications, and an annual review of our Supplier Code of Conduct.
In 2019, we earned a European Relocation Association (EuRA) Global Quality Seal recertification and our organization was awarded the Association for Serviced Apartment Providers (ASAP) certification for our global Corporate Housing inventory apartments.
We’ve also successfully recertified our Privacy Shield participation for the period commencing in October 2018 for another year.
Most recently, on July 31, 2019, we received favorable Service Organization Control (SOC) 1 and 2 Type 2 audit results for the time period of March 1, 2018 to February 28, 2019 from our independent third-party CPA firm. These results affirm our process validation and show that key systems and security controls are in place and operating effectively.
Managing Cybersecurity
Each year, we invest over $500k in technology, process controls, and training to ensure data privacy and protection throughout our entire organization. This investment goes toward our improving and maintaining our Data Privacy, Disaster Recovery, Enterprise Risk Management, Incident Response, and Business Continuity processes.
The active partnership that we have with our clients and relocating employees is also used as an opportunity to advise on the proper, limited sending and storage of personal data. Along with this message, we also share regular cybersecurity education with associates and suppliers.
