Lying directly alongside Hyde Park, between Belgravia and South Kensington, Knightsbridge is one of London’s most illustrious and desirable residential districts.

Recognised by ‘The London Plan’ as one of two ‘international centres’ in the capital (the other being the West End), Knightsbridge is one of the capital’s premium destinations for luxury shopping. It is home to world-famous stores including Harrods and Harvey Nichols and South Kensington’s museum quarter is on the doorstep. Foodies will enjoy international fine-dining restaurants as well as a vast range of exclusive bars.

The range of property here includes contemporary designer new-builds through to traditional Georgian splendour. Grand, tree-lined thoroughfares and stunning architecture certainly create a handsome back-drop.

Housing Market

Knightsbridge is popular for its architecture including some of the capital’s most prestigious garden squares. Much of Knightsbridge surrounding Cadogan Square is still owned by Earl Cadogan through the Cadogan Estate. The Estate maintains many of the garden squares to which local residents can apply for access.

In addition, new super-prime apartment buildings such as One Hyde Park, The Knightsbridge and 10 Lancelot Place, have recently emerged attracting buyers and investors from all over the world.

Education

Beautiful green spaces and one of the lowest crime rates in the capital make Knightsbridge a popular choice with families. There is a high concentration of excellent pre-prep and prep schools nearby as well as excellent secondary schools including The Westminster, St Paul’s School, The Godolphin & Latymer School as well as the French co-educational primary and secondary school, Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle.

Transport

Knightsbridge is served by two Zone 1 underground stations, Knightsbridge and Hyde Park Corner (Piccadilly line). Victoria mainline station is approximately 10 minutes by car from Knightsbridge, offering services across London and beyond. Paddington Station is about 15 minutes by car across Hyde Park. Heathrow and Gatwick Airports can both be reached in under an hour. Heathrow is the closest, about 16 miles away, and can be reached in approximately 40 minutes.
